Dagger's Edge Audiobook + Entanglement
Quantum entanglement has a speed and it's just been measured
Quantum entanglement has been the cool, kitschy concept in science fiction for years. Two particles separated by great distances, yet still connected. You alter one and the other changes, too.
The concept suggests there’s no speed involved here at all—the entanglement is instantaneous. That would be wrong, at least according to the Institute of Theoretical Physics.
By running advanced computer simulations against entangled particles, they came up with a number. But it’s so infinitesimally tiny, it might as well not exist. It’s measured on an attosecond time scale—or one billionth of a billionth of a second.
Here’s where things get wonky: thanks to quantum superposition, that number is at best, a guess. Because superposition states that the particles exist in several different states at the same time. Add in the fact that the very act of measuring the particle changes it, and what’s a physicist to do?

Dagger’s Edge Audiobook is Live!
Audible released Dagger’s Edge yesterday. It’s read by Connor Brannigan, the same narrator who brought Boone’s story in Sudden Death to life. I think you’ll be pleased. Connor is fantastic, and he brings great range and subtlety to the performance.
This is a novella, so it may be worth buying the audiobook outright (it’s $6.95 U.S.). Or if you want to wait, Audible will be releasing a Dagger’s Edge/ Sudden Death publisher’s pack soon. That’ll be 10 hours of listening for just one credit. It’s in the review queue now and should be out within a week or two.
New Release Alert
If you grabbed Scott Moon’s Salvager last month and enjoyed it, his next book in that series just released: Boots Down.
You can grab it here — in Kindle and in KU.
This next one isn’t new, but if C. Gockel is new to you, the books are well worth checking out. I’ve read Archangel Down and can tell you, it’s great stuff.
You can read all about them here.

Battlefield Diplomacy Pre-Order is live!
Battlefield Diplomacy Book 1 will release on March 11, and the pre-order is up on Amazon already. You can find it here, or click on the book cover below.
Matt’s going to have some interesting adventures in this series!
In the meantime, I’m plugging away at Battlefield Diplomacy 3: Insurrection.
Hey, thanks for taking a few minutes out of your day to stop by the Speakeasy.
