OSHKOSH!
Today marks the beginning of the annual Airventure event in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. For a short time span, this tiny Oshkosh airport is the busiest in the world. And I’m not there. Nope, I’m staying at home to finish writing this book.
Have you’ve ever listened to Air Traffic Control at one of the big hubs, like Atlanta or JFK? Well, Oshkosh Airventure is nothing like that. Here’s what the approach looked like yesterday morning:

Like I said, I’ve been hammering the words, committed to getting Battlefield Diplomacy completed by the end of this month.
But I did take a day off to go flying on the Fourth. If you’ve been following me for a while, you may have seen this pic I caught a while back from the cockpit. At the time, this was the biggest firework ever set off (though I’m sure the record’s been broken since 2015). The shutter opened right as the thing lit up the entire countryside. One of the few truly cool shots I’ve ever taken.
Great news! The audiobook narration for Sudden Death is complete, and the narrator, Connor Brannigan, knocked it out of the park. It’s uploaded to Audible and going through quality control checks now. I expect to hear it’s been approved sometime next week.
